Pay: $17 - $24 an hour

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm

Qualifications:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
• X-Ray Certification (Preferred)

Job Description:

Full time Dental Assistant needed for our Periodontal Dental Practice. We need a true team player who puts their dental patients first.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand oral health needs in regard to periodontal disease
• Update patient's medical history, take blood pressure, be aware of red flags on health history and medications
• Perform comprehensive periodontal evaluations with the doctor using Eaglesoft Dental Software, periodontal charting, detailed notes from dental procedures, and treatment plan presented to front desk
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Use of Trio scan and digital radiography
• Educate the patients on why treatment has been recommended
• Basic sterilization knowledge as well as OSHA/ HIPAA guidelines
• Uncover alerts that may affect treatment plans to the treatment coordinator or require medical consults to be requested
• Understand post-operative healing to complete post-surgical checks
